Obituary: Funeral services for Danny H English age 79 of Oxford, AL will be on Friday, April 10, 2009, 1 P.M. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Jerry Starling officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Mr. English died on Wednesday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Byronese English, daughter, Sonja Taylor, daughter, Elaine Bonorato and her husband David, daughter, Melanie Hill, brother, Billy English, grandchildren; Heidi Hill, Colby Hill, Jessica Taylor, Grant Taylor, Tiffany Stotler and Patrick Bonorato, great grandchildren; Peyton Kane, Laila Taylor, Elise Kerkhoff, Cory Stotler and Tyler Stotler.
Pallbearers will be Grant Taylor, Colby Hill, David Bonorato, Raymond Patey, Ray Whiteside and Rick Taylor.
Patrick Bonorato will serve as a honorary pallbearer.
Mr. English was a resident of Oxford since 1961. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. He was retired from Anniston Army Depot with 27 years of service and retired from Anniston City Schools as a bus driver after 15 years of service. Mr. English was a veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael English, grandchildren, Rachel Bonorato and Joel Bonorato.
